Runet has a daily audience of 95.3 million people, said Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko in a congratulatory message dedicated to the 29th anniversary of the Runet.
According to RAEC analysts, the contribution of Runet to the Russian economy by the end of 2022 could amount to almost 12 trillion rubles, demonstrating an increase of 24%.
With the departure of Western companies, domestic developers and vendors have a window of opportunity in the form of a huge order for new solutions. This work is funded, among other things, by the state and definitely makes a significant contribution to the achievement of technological sovereignty, the importance of which Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly spoken about. Today, the Government and relevant ministries are in close contact with the industry in order to ensure its further growth and development,” said Dmitry Chernyshenko.
He also mentioned that Russians have a growing interest in IT professions. During the year, 100 thousand people moved to the IT industry from other areas, changing their profession. In 2022, more than 117 thousand students were admitted to universities for undergraduate and specialist degree programs in IT training at the expense of the federal budget, which is 3.2 thousand more than in 2021.
