VK has introduced a new collaborative tool, VK Board, offering a free alternative to the recently closed Miro service. The beta version of VK Board is now available to users, providing a versatile platform for teams to create, share, and visualize information.
VK Board allows users to create an unlimited number of virtual boards, making it an ideal tool for conducting meetings, classes, brainstorming sessions, and retrospectives. The service supports an unlimited number of participants who can collaborate simultaneously, enhancing team productivity and communication.
The platform features a virtual interactive space where users can design scalable smart boards. These boards can be customized with stickers, shapes, text, images, links, and other elements, allowing for dynamic and creative project management. Additionally, VK Board includes a timer feature to help teams manage their time efficiently during collaborative sessions.
Sergey Prokudin, head of the VK Board project, emphasized the service’s value for those who work on projects, study, or rely on visual tools for collaboration. He noted that the platform’s simple and intuitive interface is designed to help users achieve better results in their work.
In the near future, VK Board will also offer the ability to import materials from Miro, easing the transition for users affected by Miro’s decision to cease operations in Russia and Belarus from September 12.
VK Board is positioned as a powerful and accessible solution for individuals and teams seeking a reliable and user-friendly platform for visual collaboration, filling the gap left by Miro’s exit from the region.
