In a recent Webmaster blog, Yandex have detailed improvements within Yandex Webmaster Tools for content websites in diagnosing issues with their Turbo pages.
For Turbo pages to be useful to users, it is important to maintain the quality of the content and to ensure that there are no discrepancies between the content of the original site pages and the Turbo pages.
The new diagnostics tools now show a detailed description of errors, provides examples, and also explains the reason(s) for why Turbo pages may have been disabled (if that action has been taken).
The new diagnostic system operates with a traffic light system of Green, Yellow, and Red.
Green Meaning
Turbo pages have passed all quality checks and confirmed. If there are minor errors, they will be shown in the interface so that they can be corrected.
Yellow Warning
Warns you about decreased quality of Turbo pages and errors that need to be corrected. If the number of errors grows and they become visible to users, Turbo pages will disappear from search. When the errors are corrected, you need to click the “Check” button.
Red Alert
Red alerts can mean one of three things:
- There are critical errors, Turbo pages will be deleted if not fixed. Corrections must be made within 21 days. When the errors are corrected, you need to click the “Check” button.
- Turbo pages are being checked. It takes several days. If the errors were not corrected before checking, the Turbo pages of the site will be removed. If the errors have been corrected, the status will change to yellow or green.
- Turbo pages of the site have been removed. To restore pages in the search, you need to correct the errors, click the “Check” button and wait for a successful check. If errors appear again, you need to correct them and repeat the check.
