Wildberries to Offer Services on Its Platform

Wildberries founder, Tatyana Bakalchuk, announced at the WEF session titled “The Era of the Platform Economy: Victory of Tech Giants” that services will soon be available on the platform.

Bakalchuk explained that Wildberries has transitioned from being a simple digital platform. Once services are added, it can officially be considered a marketplace.

“We never called ourselves a marketplace,” she said. “When we were smaller, I didn’t like the term because it suggested a place where goods and services are presented.” Over time, however, Wildberries has allowed sellers to offer products, and now services will follow.

Recently, Wildberries introduced the “WB Club” subscription. This allows users to access special discounts that can be combined with other promotions. In August, the platform also updated its “Search Queries” report, giving sellers access to new data.

These developments mark the continued growth of Wildberries as it expands its offerings for both products and services.
