Yandex Cloud has announced the introduction of five new services aimed at supporting companies that develop IT products and digital solutions. The announcement was made during the Yandex Scale conference.
AI Studio
One of the key offerings is AI Studio, a unified platform that brings together various AI technologies, including YandexGPT and YandexART generative neural networks. It also integrates SpeechKit for speech synthesis and recognition, alongside an interactive environment for neural network training and other machine learning (ML) tools.
AI Studio aims to simplify the development of AI-powered applications. Developers can write less code when integrating neural networks, thanks to prebuilt code examples provided by the SDK library. The platform is available for free to Yandex Cloud users. Additionally, AI Studio includes a service called AI Playground for testing ML models in dialogue mode.
SourceCraft
Yandex also presented SourceCraft, a new platform designed for IT product development. Although the full release is scheduled for 2025, a prototype was shown at the conference. SourceCraft will allow developers to manage source code, test and deploy projects, and provide ongoing support for IT solutions.
The first component of this platform, Yandex Code Assistant, is a neural network that helps developers generate code more efficiently by predicting and completing code fragments.
Security Deck
Another newly launched service is Security Deck, which helps businesses manage the security of their cloud infrastructure. The platform allows centralized monitoring of vulnerabilities and control over employee access to data.
Security Deck offers complete tracking of employee activities within cloud environments, both from the provider’s side and the client’s, marking a unique feature in the Russian market, according to Yandex.
Serverless Integrations
Yandex Cloud also introduced Serverless Integrations, a tool that allows developers to automate processes without needing to write code. This service is expected to speed up application development by 10% to 70%, depending on the task.
This could be especially useful for automating processes like handling online orders or monitoring security systems.
Bare Metal
Lastly, Bare Metal is a service that allows companies to rent physical servers for hosting software, providing dedicated computing power. Yandex Cloud will handle the equipment maintenance. Closed testing for Bare Metal is expected to begin before the end of 2024.
Yandex Cloud’s newest services aim to accelerate digital transformation for businesses by streamlining both development and security processes.
