Yandex has enhanced its Documents service by integrating the YandexGPT 4 neural network into its online text editor. This update aims to simplify working with text while introducing new features for the table editor. Both tools are currently available in beta mode and free to use.
Faster, Smarter Document Editing
The upgraded editors are faster and more efficient than their predecessors. They can handle large files, such as 1,000-page annual reports, and support collaboration for up to 100 users simultaneously.
YandexGPT 4 in the text editor offers capabilities in both Russian and English. Users can create new content or edit existing material with features such as error correction, style adjustments, and text reduction.
Accessible Through the Beta Program
To try the beta version, users can access the updated editors through the web interface by enabling the “New editor” option in the top menu. These features are part of Yandex’s broader Documents service.
Sergey Pedchenko, Head of the Technological Development Group at Yandex 360, noted that while the beta lacks some features, such as document commenting, ongoing updates will address these gaps. He emphasized the flexibility and speed offered by Yandex’s proprietary developments, which pave the way for improved performance and expanded applications in various settings.
Future Enhancements
Yandex plans to add more features to the editors soon, broadening their appeal for personal, professional, and educational use. The integration of neural network technologies like YandexGPT 4 reflects the company’s commitment to advancing user-friendly solutions.
This integration follows Yandex’s earlier use of YandexGPT 4 in its virtual assistant, Alice.
