Yandex has unveiled new features for its virtual keyboard on mobile devices, integrating the generative neural networks YandexGPT and YandexART. These enhancements are designed to improve user experience across any service that involves text input.
Advanced Text Assistance
With the integration of YandexGPT, users can now benefit from a range of text-improving features. The neural network will:
- Correct errors
- Add synonyms
- Insert appropriate emojis
- Place punctuation marks correctly
- Capitalize letters where necessary
The “Improve Text” function helps maintain the original meaning of the text while making the vocabulary more diverse and the overall content simpler and more logical.
Enhanced Visual Experience
YandexART introduces the capability to create custom backgrounds for the Yandex Keyboard based on text descriptions. Users can personalize the appearance of their keyboard by adjusting colors, gradients, transparency, and other visual elements to their liking.
Practical and Engaging Features
These new functionalities are particularly useful for writing texts, ensuring error-free and visually appealing content. YandexGPT’s ability to select contextually appropriate emojis enhances the emotional and visual impact of social media posts, making them more engaging.

Expanding Language Support
This announcement follows Yandex’s recent update to its Translator service, which now includes more than 20 languages of the peoples of Russia.
